the hopi reservation was perhaps the best esperience i had in high school the trip was amazing there where a lil bumps but it was all worth it there was so many things  i learned from growing up learining to  respect and how your family is the greatest thing .

Day 1 .
The hopi trip started early we left at 8am to arizona and it felt like forever but we arrived there at 5 pm.So far i have learned alot we all meet diana witch was our host and she was very nice and she told us the things we would be doing and learning. We learned how males and females have diffrent languages and how your not supppose to ask things around small children. We had dinner after setting up and it was dilicious also after you eat you must say qua qua denesa witch is thank you very much in hopi.Boys and girls both have their duties the men take out the trash and women do the dishes we also meet sunny witch is dianas son and he took us around the villiage and gave us a tour. He told us alot about the bulding like a burnt church we where only allowed to stare at from down the villiage but he told us a quick story about how it was hit by lightning twice and it was a sighn of christianity not being welcomed, also told us that any girl that was of any other clan they where all his girlfriends but every one else was his family. Also alot of the food reminded me of food my parent and grandparent make in mexico. Also the men and women go threw periods where they dont eat meat's or salt's or anything thats unhealthy and around here you cant just have your cellphone's or any cameras out if they see it  anyone could break it.
Day 2
On the second day we went to the plaza and saw the "cachinas"dance we also got alot of present's and saw excellent dancing. It was also very funny the mud heads as they call them had me cracking up.After that we went back to have some breakfast it reminded me of posole very delish,After that leigh diannas husband took us out to the field where we would be working he explained how they planted corn in gaps instead of next to eachother he said when the corn flowered the rain would fall and the water will fall off the leaves and water the other corn.We went after to go gather the rings for the baskets witch women cant watch and before cutting we must pray but we need corn to and need to have happy thoughts or else it wont last.Alos found some broken pottery and he told us we shouldn't touch or take pictures because we didnt know what kind of person owned it and it can have bad or good vibes. He also gave us explanations of how plants and it was intresting. He also told me and levani how the hopi villiage was alot like spanish he also told us about how to own land and to own it you must work it for it to really be yours, and you must treat the land good because it will treat you the same way. That same night we went up to another house and only me and levani stayed up there every night the other boys switched off but it was exciting up there because leigh would teach us about hopi and tell us stories.
Day 3
The 3rd day was good we did are daily duties and that same day we where seperated and the boys went up to do the rings and the girls we started by gettin a shovel and rounding them but got broken
